TR4/4A greasing rear u-joint on tr4a

How do you get to the grease fitting on the rear outside u-joint on a TR4A. I've been trying to grease both outside u-joints, but can't figure out how to get my grease gun attached to the grease fitting. The trailing arm assembly is in the way and there are no access holes to get to the u-joint. Please don't tell me you have to remove the whole axle, but that seems to me to be the only way to do it. I hope someone else can make this easier for me. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I want to thank TRIUMPHSONLY for guiding me through the proper procedure of how to grease the outer u-joints on my TR4 IRS. It does require you to remove the rear half shaft, but once it was explained, the procedure was not that difficult and it did give me a little extra knowledge of the rear axle assemble. thanks
