Grease

I removed the radiator today to replace the water pump today and ran it to the local radiator shop for cleaning up.

I decided to take the oportunity to clean the caked on grease from the suspension and engine bay since I have the added access.

My question Why does grease come off so easy on you when you are working on the car, but you can hardly get the stuff to budge when you are trying to remove it?

Probably because it only takes a very small percentage of the total available grease to make a huge mess on you & your clothes. The best example is a microscopic blob of moly anti-seize. It can go from the part to your hands, ears, nose, eyes, to any tool you touch, to your clothes, to the door knobs, all over the furniture, the dog, & anywhere else I might have missed. A little bit goes a very long way.
