Grease Retaining Cup Not Tight Fit

I hear stories of how hard it is to remove the grease retaining cup but both of mine are lose and can easily be removed with my fingers. In fact mine will be all the way out to outside of wheel hub when I take off wheel.My car is a BN2 1956 but seems to have a few BN1 parts from work done over the years. So if cups are lose then I must have one from another year? I looked at Moss to see that there are two for BN1 and BN2. But is it possible that I have the right ones and it is okay to be lose?? I was going to buy a pair but not sure which pair to buy. After rereading catalog there is only one for my car so how can it be so lose? Thanks Marty
 
I'd try "adjusting" them carefully to be tighter. Take needle-nose pliers and bend the edge outward just a little in several places around the periphery - that should make them tighter. They're supposed to tap in.
