I belong to three clubs. For the first time ever, I got to drive my LBC to a club meeting. Temperature about 75, lovely wife beside me, great tunes on the radio - not a cloud in the sky.

The British Saloon Car Club (Westenders) (https://www.bsccoc.ca/) have been putting up with my tales of woe for almost three years and were very happy to see her finely. She behaved flawlessly and sat there very demurely, far and away the smallest car there. (The guy with the Mini didn't have his car tonite.) There was a 74 Rolls, a Stag, an XK8, an XJS, an MGA a Bitter and this - which for the life of me I can't remember the name of. Much fun was had by all.

JP, you one of the select few now guy. Grats.

Cool. I don't know what to make of those super high dollar cars. Something about a $60,000 toy puts me off, it's just not in my world I guess. Pretty and very cool but just not "real". You know what I mean? Last Saturday I parked next to a '66 Jag XKE it was gorgeous but knowing I'd never spend that kind of $$ on a toy just puts it in a different realm. I was more interested in the '65 Spit on the other side of me. Why is that? Sour grapes? I don't think that's it.
Congrats JP!

Congrats! It is a great feeling to complete a project. Paint is done on my car, planning on the interior and carpet this weekend. If all goes well, I will drive to the Healey meeting on Tuesday.

Congrats!

And yes, let's see some pictures!

I know the feeling, took the wife out for the first night drive! Stars were out and the top was down, congrats!
Now a picture of your car plz!

Yes, I think I know exactly what you mean. When you start putting that kind of money into what is, after all, a toy, no matter how easily you can afford it, it changes the whole story. You're doing something quite different from us Spridget guys who chop out rusty floor panels and fuss with recalcitrant SUs. As for me, there is a certain level of self indulgence I won't exceed, whether I can afford it or not. Just my Calvinist upbringing, I guess.

Hi Folks,

I feel quite certain that the 1st. pic is one of a Replicar (Reproduction as I call them) of a "Jag SS100".

Well, there you have it, as a graduate of Calvin College, that must be where I soaked it up. John would have a spridget I'm sure of it.

Is it b/c you are a Calvinist or b/c you are dutch? You know how the dutch invented copper wire.....Two dutchmen fighting over a penny

Many of my H.S. classmates went to Calvin or Dordt, I was not a liberal arts major. I am very dutch though! :winner1:

Some of both.
I'm more Danish then dutch though so go easy or I'll go viking on you and plunder your parts.

Plate on the front says "SQUIRE'. Too easy.

Thanks for the identification - it is an Intermeccanica. Nice guy who owns it - was one of the first 50 employees at RIM - can you say Blackberry? also has a Rolls & a Harley.

Pics to follow shortly, however as a Presbyterian Pastor of Dutch descent who knows it is the 500th anniversary of Calvin's Birth, I can still say this thread has taken a strange turn.

JP ! Great pics !, your all legit with licence plates & everything ! Wow ! Congrats & enjoy the sunny days behind the wheel of Ms.Triss
