The Grand Prix American Rolex Sports Car Series takes place the weekend of July 28th at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham. It is sponsored by Bradley Arant, the law firm in which my daughter is a partner. The main event is the Prosche 250 but there will also be races involving the 125cc & 250cc karts of the Super Kart series. I've got weekend passes that include access to the padock area including the Paddock Club, the museum & pits/garage areas!Kinda like backstage access to a rock concert. Can somebody spell "heaven"?

Cool!
Barber is supposed to be neat track (too far a pull for me).
We had these Grand-Am guys at Lime Rock about 6 weeks ago...they put on a great show.
As for karts, I regret I didn't race them when I was younger...they look like a ball.

That series is coming to the Miller Sports Park in September. (I just saw the ALMS race there https://www.drooartz.com for pictures). I expect a full report, Tony, so I can decide if I should plunk down some more cash to see the Rolex guys.
