• Fifteenth Annual “Grand Lake Tour”
August 9-10, 2007
• The fifteenth annual “Grand Lake Tour” will be held Thursday and Friday, August 9-10, 2007. This is truly an exciting and challenging activity for any British car enthusiast!! Join other MG and British car enthusiasts to find the shortest distance to some interesting and scenic checkpoints scattered throughout Michigan and perhaps some surrounding states. Coordinated by TwoRickRacin’ (a division of Team Fokowie), we know that you will not want to miss this test of man and machine! Entry is restricted to British cars 1981 and older. All participants must have a valid driver’s license; all cars must be licensed, insured, and pass a technical inspection prior to leaving on the first leg. All entries must have a driver and co-driver. There will be a Drivers’ meeting held in the “lobby” of the Grand Rapids Hilton on 28th and Patterson in Grand Rapids, MI at 6:30am on Thurday morning! An odometer calibration run will equalize all cars entered into the rallye.
• Base hotel for the rallye will be the Grand Rapids Hilton on 28th and Patterson in Grand Rapids, MI. This is also the host hotel for the University Motors Summer party. The rallye will begin and finish from this location. It would be advisable to arrive on Wednesday as the rallye will begin immediately following a Drivers’ Meeting and Odometer Calibration Run at 6:30am on Thursday. Participants will be given ample time to complete the Grand Lake Tour, which will NOT be as long as those of previous years!! Entry fee for the Grand Lake Tour will be $25 per car and can be paid upon your arrival in Grand Rapids (although we prefer pre-registration!). Solo and team entrants are welcome. A traveling trophy, engraved with the solo class winners’ names will be presented. See you in MICHIGAN!
