Saw this and racked off a few shots even though it was too far away.

Couldn't tell. Went back this AM to hopefully catch it again but no joy. Got some other things tho.



Stayed in the center of the canal, just glidin' along. This guy is about ten feet long.

Funny how you're warned about alligators in English but Spanish it becomes a crocodile.

Didn't know that. The crocs are "protected species" down here. the 'gators still have a hunting season.

They diverged about 90 million years ago. They can't interbreed.

Just the idea both species survived the Yucatan meteor impact is kind of remarkable.
