Walt's recent post in Photography ( Walt's photo )reminded me of an evening in Locarno, Ticino. As the sun was setting over the Alps, I was walking back to the hotel, and noticed that the moon appeared to be "threatened" by oncoming clouds.

Fantastic picture - and lovely description. Though my (sick) mind went somewhere else when I read the title; 'Grabbing the Moon'

JP- back when I could travel, I used to rent a place in Gerra, Ticino, as a base for hiking some of the hundreds of trails in southern Switzerland (Ticino). What a great place to be -

Built as a three level farm house around 1470, modernized back in the 1960s.

Ansel Adams made a ton of money from one shot of the moon! Nice shot! I'll be shooting the moon on April 8th!
