I feel the same way about my Huffaker MGB race car, I could have easily kept it, in my garage and made the big money, live and learn. It's always harder to start over than hang on.
 
Also, if there is pressure coming from your wife (understandable) ignore the car for a while and give her all your spare attention. It may shift her feelings toward the car.

Good point, last year there was alot going on at my house, wife kept picking on the cars, money time etcc.. we have all heard it before.

So I went out to the garage and covered all of them up for about 3 months and did not touch them, spend any money on them, or even mention them. soon our lives turn back to normal I now have them uncovered and she is fine with it.

I will do it again if the hobby is affecting our lives, if I would have sold them she would have felt quilt, ever time I gazed over looking at a Midget or Bugeye
