Got the truck back from the shop today - $880.
Good thing I'm working a lot of overtime.
Beats five or six years of payments! And you've got YOUR truck.
 
Here near St. louis, trucks with 200K miles and 10 yrs old are $15K. $880 is cheap.

From what I gathered,they cut the rusted area out,& welded in
new metal.I haven't had a chance to look at it,as I worked about 25 hours
the last two days.

It drives great! To me,it's like a pair of old shoes -
comfortable,& relaxing to drive,& I don't worry about
it when it's parked.
