Mailed an MGB windshield frame to Western Florida on March 2nd (2017).
I just checked the tracking number,& found out that it'd been sent to Springfield Mass,
& was sent out from there yesterday.
It was supposed to be delivered last Thursday - March 9th.

Wait until you have one do a loop around the country. Chicago, Boston, Miami, Dallas, Phoenix, LA, San Francisco, Seattle then finally to Fargo.

Had a piece of mail returned to us because we addressed it "Sixth Street" instead of "6th Street".

A number of years ago I had a Sony laptop. Had to have a warranty repair done and Sony insisted on sending their own packaging (to a Staples store) they sent the box to Ontario California - four times!

What??? How can you make a mistake with "Ontario CA"?

You know it's funny how so many people bash the delivery services, even all the time on our HOA FB page.
But do you remember just 20 years ago it took a week to send stuff just 2 states away and now it is almost overnight.
I, for one, am amazed they do what they do,especially with all the internet business that is out there now

The USPS delivers for Amazon even on Sunday!

Saw a USPS delivery truck out one Sunday and thought that someone was using their company car at the weekend then found out they deliver packages on a Sunday.

So...Sunday Amazon delivery by USPS.

We get 30 pound bags of newspaper-based kitty litter delivered.
First Amazon seller fell asleep, never showed, so Amazon sent us the two boxes for Sunday delivery.
Couple of Sundays ago, I gave up waiting for USPS, as it was getting dark, was going in my office door, saw a USPS truck in front of my neighbors with flashers going.

Walk around the house, down the driveway, up to the truck, told him he had delivery for me (was going to tell him to back in the driveway so we could unload at back door), but he counters before I can get the last part out by waving at the three boxes in the cab, saying this is all I have.
I told him we'd been tracking it, on the truck for delivery TODAY, big boxes, 30 pounds each, two of them.
Nope, says he..there are 20 trucks out delivering, probably on another truck.
Okay. Gave up, walked back down the street, was halfway up the long driveway as he was u-turning in the driveway across the street, and I hear a horn.

Apparently he DID have them, in the back of the truck, only other boxes in the truck other than the three in the cab...and then we get to hoist them and carry them all the way up the driveway to the back porch.

Clueless.

Now it's in New Jersey!
I'm usually impressed with the speed/service
of the USPS,so maybe that's why this irritates me
so much.

The other day at lunch with friends, the wife (not mine) ordered pancakes with real maple syrup. Small bottle arrived marked "Ontario, CA." Wife, a Vermont native, says "Oh, it's Canadian maple syrup". Says I "Look again. That's Ontario, California". It was. The distributor was from there. It never said where the syrup was from.

Maybe contraband syrop!

only 1/4 of the earlier 18 million dollar heist was recovered. Hmmmm
