Only on starter fluid but who the heck cares! Need to confirm the timing is ball park and get the choke assembly properly installed tomorrow, then the fun / crying really starts.

No nasty noises so far however...
 
No nasty noises is always a plus. I hope to have my TD engine back together soon and I'm praying for the same thing - no nasty noises.
 
How is the TD rebuild coming along?

I made a bit more progress today, she'll actually start and idle now if I fill the float bowls up.

The Carter fuel pump died already, which is aggravating since the instructions didn't call-out continuous fuel flow as a cool requirement, but when the new Facet pump arrives she should run.
