Today the car landed. Over the last few months I've been working with a fellow board member on the purchase of one of his cars. Today the truck dropped the bugeye, who I have named Ms. Scarlet, off at a buddies restoration shop 2 hours away. She made the trip from Ohio unscathed and ready for me. Unfortunately I have to work, so I'll be picking her up Sunday, which is too far away! Here's a few pics of the journey, and a list of mod's to follow. Its great to be back, having a LBC again. I can't wait to get to tinkering! Oh, and there are some things to be done, I'll have some questions for ya'll

Glad to see your car arrived safely.

Woohoo! Glad to see you back in the Bugeye world...post more pictures when you get a chance.

Welcome back to entomological endeavors! Nice looking Bugeye, may you have many good miles with Ms Scarlet :driving:

Nice looking car, but that list of mods will keep you busy all weekend. What are going to do the second weekend you have her?

Sweet car. Love the enthusiasm!

Now we drive them instead.

Nice! It sure has the bells and whistles I like. Great time of year for a new roadster.
congrats!!!!

Two hours of driving from Lodi to Chico and the car is home. She did amazing, cruised 65mph at 2600 revs thanks to the Datsun 5 speed and 3.9 gears. Now comes the fun, making her mine! Tomorrow will be 340lb springs to get the front end lower and sportier, then get the fuel gauge working. I'll try a sending unit first, then move on from there. Tonight my lady and I are going to celebrate this monumental time with a bottle of wine we've been saving for a special occasion
Oh ya, the car is missing the mounts for the top bow when stored, if anyone has a spare set, PM me.

Congrats! Now you need to change your forum signature... no longer searching.

I fought a non working fuel gauge on my BE till I realized the PO hadn't put the ground wire in the loom back on the gauge retaining stud. Attached the right way and no more problems!

Kurt

Thanks! Already have had a ton of run working on her.

I'm going to try to. If so, I'll drive the car down, but probably just as a spectator and not put her in the show.

Just got her shined up, had to post pics of her at work today

Rolling British Car Day is this Sunday April 19 in San Diego. There will be about 250 British cars of all makes. It is a one and a half hour drive through the back country ending up at the Pauma Valley Country Club where we park on the grass and have lunch. It is probably a little far to drive down for you but I would love to see you join us. there will be other Bugeyes besides mine cruising around.
