Opa said:
snow here as well good thing I hadn't put the snow clearing equipment away yet

at least there are snow tires on it

No fresh snow here, but we had a slightly cold weekend, I spent one day at the Ice Magic ice sculpture competition in Lake Louise, I'd say about -17 Celcius on Sunday... Not too cold, really...

Here it comes. It is just starting here in Vermont. "They" have upped the forecast to a total of 10-16 inches. Yee Haa!!

guess i will spend today playing with some new diamond turning software my employer just purchased for me. This program is kinda neat- it generates nc code for slow slide servo machining. It makes possible the on axis machining of off axis parts. heavy stuff. I hope the snow is light and fluffy!!

Snow here is pretty heavy so I just got the call that school is closed.
Then I had to call a bunch of people and wake them up to tell them classes are cancelled (most sounded groggy but happy to hear the news).

No CNC Programming classes for me today.

only about an inch here at the moment, however when I went to pick up Carolyn from work at 6.30 started the van cleaned it off and pulled out of the driveway and thought this shouldn't feel like this,so I backed into the drive and checked the tires and yes a darn FLAT, couldn't see it with the snow.

woke up to this in stamford ct., still coming down hard, weather station says it will turn to rain, sleet, the temps are expected to drop and well have "oobleck", global warming?

We only got about 4 inches of white before the sleet started, now freezing rain and 29 degrees. It is supposed to change to plain rain as the temperature rises. All snow with cold temps would have been much better than this future slush...

 Sorry to you Northeasterners. Used to Live in Massachusetts. I remember why we left. Here in the Land of Enchantment, a dusting yesterday but all gone this morning. Hate to admit it but it's only 29F as I speak.

ICE ICE ICE

Two hours of hoveling this morning in NYC, about 2 inches, then ice, then rain.

Well just finished the first session of "snow" hoveling- so far looks like about 6-8 have fallen so far. Forecast is for another 3-5 tonight.. yipee!!

Doc

24 frizzer fornite, no hovel, no drain, skat renk.

Actually where I live has the worst drain system, I have ever seen.

It is probably because they are old, not maintained, and living close to the water.

(You need the tres gatos to cross a street  )

Here is your picture, of the Coney Island Sunset.

We got about 4". I had some drifting of about 12" in the lane. Nothing that made us snow-bound.

I got the tractor out and cleared the lane; did the area between the house and the barn with a snow blower.

I hate this time of year.
