TR6 Got my TR6 Home from Texas

My TR6 has larger wheels on it as well. I don't remember the size, I do remember that they are 10mm wider than the standard. I can hear them rub a bit when I've got the wheel cranked all the way to the stop and when I'm backing up, but I've checked to see if it's showed anything in the wheel well and don't see any rubbage so I guess it's not doing any damage.

What year is it and has your car ever been restored? If not, the paint sure looks in great shape, as far as I can tell from the picture.

It's a 1971.
The previous owner restored the car over a few years. The body was stripped down to bare metal, and painted the original color "Laurel Green". The car is clean as a whistle underneath, and under the hood. I was looking for a rust free, dry climate car, and that's just what I got. I had to go to Texas to get it,...but I got it!
The paint is 4 years old now, and is showing it's age. It looks great from 10 feet away, but there are a lot of tiny places where the paint is is bubbled up, or lifting. You have to get real close to see it though. I'll probably just leave the paint go for a while. It looks good enough to me for now. I figure if it took 4 years to get this bad, I'll let it go another 4 years before I worry about it. When I do repaint it, atleast I won't have to do the engine compartment, and door jams, and inside the trunk and stuff. That all looks great,...so I'll probably just get the outside re-painted,.... when the time comes.

Were those four years in Texas? There may be a difference in climate there in Maryland that might accelerate the process. Just a thought...

I'll keep an eye on it. Sad thing it it's gonna need to be stripped/ or sanded down again to get rid of whatever is causing the problem. Can't just paint over it.
