Got my big box today!

I got my big box from Moss today! New uprated rear shocks, sway bar links, V8 a-arm bushings, a polished alloy valve cover (free!), and "MGB, MGC, & MGB GT V8" by David Knowles. What an excellent book! I've never seen a nicer single-marquee car book. It leaves me with the impression that driving an MGB is a really cool thing to do! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif It even has information on the 1974 1/2s! All that's left now is to wait for the snow to thaw. I do have a nice book to curl up with, though! Oh, and I have to save up for front shocks now... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

As always, there's a picture of all of the parts on page 3 of my Cardomain site (link in my signature). If any of you other BCFers have an account there, be sure to leave me a message so that I can add you to my friends list!

Camshaft,
Congratulations on receiving your new parts. They look really nice. Nice looking "B" you have also.
Good Luck,
Tom

Oh boy, clean new parts, fun fun.

Hey young fellow, glad you have all those new parts to install on that MGB. my only question would be, How come you didn't know to this point that driving an MGB is really cool. All of us old folks know that, so if your going to hang out here, you have to understand that "B's" are super cool. Just kidding of course, hope that car works well for you. I see you live in northeast Ohio. I live in Ontario about 15 miles from the Lake Erie shoreline close to Long Point. If your ever in my part of the world, I would gladly share a beer or two with you and may even have a place to stay for you. Keep this in mind.

Nice, Cam! How long before you get so anxious to do the work that the weather isn't a factor?!? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

'smits an' me put an engine in the +2 in an unheated dirt floor garage in February "up there" a while back. Did it in "shifts" but got it done in spite of the temps. Brrrr.... Those days are happily over!

Keep warm! Spring is coming soon. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Cammy Nice,

but ain't those parts a lil big for the car ~snicker~

I knew driving the MG was cool, but very few car books are able to express that in words. Those of you with more coffee table car books than coffee tables know what I'm talking about. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Glad you noticed the little car, I like putting stuff like that in my car part group shot pictures to add interest.

I'm now accepting donations for those front shocks. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

hmmmm... so THAT'S what the fuel pump should look like when properly mounted in a late model B. hmmmmmm... *wheels start turning*

I've been intending to take that picture down, that surface rot on the trunk floor is embarassing... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif

well, I'm glad it's there. It allowed me to learn another tid-bit of information about how my car should be. I always wondered about that gaping hole in the boot floor of my B. Now I know what should be there.

I guess I'm going to have to give Tony a parts list for little items like that box that covers the hole, and front plate mounts, and... and... and... and... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
