I have the original engine back in my car (with new rod bearings) hooked up to the Datsun 5-speed, a new dash and redone seats. I think that I am about ready to go to Mo! I cut work yesterday (beautiful sunny day- best one so far this year) and drove to the hills to check how it handled the heat/hills. It seems ready to go!
Now I have to wait until next month and GO!!

Nothing wrong with cutting work on a nice day to go drive!

Excellent, good work.

So you could fly to Dayton and give Marc some help since you now have all of this extra time on your hands.

I made the run to the ABFM in Vancouver BC this weekend, Bill. must have driven right by.. at least as close as I-5 goes to your house anyway.. Beautiful weekend huh?... Glad to hear its almost ready to rock. .. by the way, i AVERAGED over 38 mpg for the trip with the same set-up you have, (3.9 rear) but with a 1098 and SU's. .. that'll give me (us) some range on the trip to LoTO!

Yep- far more fuel range than bladder range!! (I will need to limit my coffee consumption for the trip!).
