A 295 head milled .080 thousands from its nominal (new) size will increase compression from 8.3 to 8.6 on a 998cc engine.ie a 948 overbored .060

And let me tell you this was not an easy thing to understand.

So as on a 295 head .080 is the max possible to mill I think I will go with .070 and enjoy just a touch more compression from stock. 8.4 maybe. hehe.

The trick with my sons TR6 was to plain about a half an inch of the head to raise compresion and get shorter push rods. Jack, still thinking abouta 1275.
