Re: GOT INFO ON SHIPPING AN MGA-SIZE CAR TO EUROPE
I asked about having a GT shipped from UK to USA. The sell would have dropped it off at the port and cost was £500. It's about all I know as I was curious but have not gone all the way to see what it entails.
I shipped a Healey 100 to Italy in February. However it was part of a house move. It went in a 20' container. The shippers built a wooden frame around the car and put our apartment contents in behind and above the car. Perfect job - happy to recommend Crown Relocation [also known as Crown International]. They handled all the paperwork for deregistering the car in US and all the customs paperwork both ends. Let me know offline if you need more info, I was only browsing the MG forum for a post that one of the Healey guys had directed me too. Of course if you are only talking about a trip to Europe, the above will not be of much use!!
I have never done this, or personally know anyone who has, but it seems (just from listening in) that shipping to europe from the americas is way easier than bringing on into the states from europe.
