Got Bung? --- O2 ;]

I do! YAY!

I finally made the plunge and purchased a MIG welder this weekend. After a few test runs to get familiar with the machine, I welded in the O2 sensor bung on my exhaust tonight. Mostly went well except for the part where I let the flange drop, welded in the bung and then couldn't get the flange back over the bung. D'OH! Rookie mistake. A little coaxing with the BFH and all is back in place. :hammer: Tomorrow I'll go pick up a cheapo sensor and get it hooked up to my (narrowband) Autometer AFR gauge for the meantime. Later on it will be a wideband O2 hooked up to the Megasquirt/EFI.

Sure I may have spent a wad on the welder but it was going to cost me $100 just to have a muffler shop do it. This way I have an extremely valuable tool and infinite possibilities. Now I can even patch in that munched-up rocker panel (once I build up the nerve to take on body work! :yesnod:)

You have opened up a whole new world of opportunity by getting a MIG welder. Don't hesitate to attack the bum rocker panel now!
Roy
