Yes, I know. I should have used gloves. Now I have stains all over my hands where dirt has stuck to remnents of GG.

Any suggestion before I resort to something that might harm my skin?

happy birthday though - tell everyone you got gloves

Acetone...buy it at Home depot (its basically nail polish remover, but without the smell and its a little stronger than the store bought nail polish remover.) Be careful though if your wife finds out how much better it is, she will use it to remove her nail polish.

Another product to try is 3M Adhesive remover! A bit smelly but works well on a wide variety of adhesives!

Solvents don’t work on cured polyurethane adhesives like classic Gorilla Glue.

Hence their instructions:

“Make sure you avoid skin contact. Cured glue can be removed with a chisel, scraper or sandpaper.”

PC.

Hmm, this is good to know. I know it works on super glue and crazy glue as well as spray paint, gasket sealer, caulk, house paint and the other stuff I always seem to get on my hands since I won't wear latex gloves (an allergy from over exposure when I used to work in a hospital) so far, it has removed everything but for future reference, I will avoid the gorilla glues.
THe information we learn on this forum.....priceless

OMG this is way too funny. Reminds me of the scene from American Pie! I would have like to see a picture of that! Just kidding--maybe! I suppose when all else fails, read the directions, huh?

I do wet plate photography for a living (glass plate civil war era stuff), and I get silver nitrate stains all over my hands on a busy week end. Nothing chemically removes it. I use pumice stones, emery boards and a rough washcloth. The finger tips and nails are no problem, but be careful with the backs of the hands, that skin is very tender and anything too abrasive will scrape the heck out of you. You may want to try Everclear 190 proof grain alcohol, It usually dissolves just about everything (including your liver), if it dosn't work you can drink it while sanding down your hands. Good Luck.
