Everyone must be playin' out today. Place seems to have an echo. I even went over 'n read some of th' Healey Forum I'm so bored. :smirk:

It is pouring here, although I was able to get a nice walk in earlier today. I am finishing up the garage so Fagin can come home this week so I can enjoy the newly tuned engine and the rebuilt transmission. The garage is now painted inside, new pegboard, more floorspace, new windows, new entry door from the breezeway, and new overhead door and lift mechanism. I even was left with wall space for some Triumph and Brooklands artwork...

I just got up a couple hours ago. Badly sunburnt from yesterday's outing.

It's raining here so I'm surfing. Weather was beautiful yesterday so we went to a local car show with the MGB. There were only two Brits there, my B and a Rolls. The place was crawling with old Beetles though. A coworker of mine won with his showroom condition 1970 VW.

I was on early this am and it was kinda slow, so I went out and chopped down a tree in the hot sun (well over 90*!!)and totally sapped my self getting it within the new waste-disposal regs and to the curb!! We now have to chop everything to no-longer-than 4' lengths and bundles of no more than 50 lbs. THAT took a lot longer than the old way of just making neat piles of the stuff (I always did cut it into 4' lengths anyway for ease of carrying!!). They come by and pick it all up with a truck that has a big ol' claw to pick the stuff up with so I'm not sure what the 50 lb limit is about except makin' us do more!

Heck, I called Our Waste Management co. one time to pick up an old couch. They're supposed to come through once a month to pick up stuff like that anyway. Darned thing sat in the front yard for 6 months until I started calling twice every day for about a week. Finally they got it.

Ahhhh.
Spent 10 hours in the garage, putting that Datsun gearbox on the Midget motor, and putting it all back in the car.
Only crawled out for food...
I'm going to be hurting tomorrow.
