Google image search

Even tho' I've set Google Search to show only 20 results per page, when I do a Google Image Search, the page takes forever to load, as it's trying to load hundreds of graphic images. Seems the Image Search can't be limited to a certain number of results per page.

Is there any way around this?

Thanks.
Tom

Nope...unless you invest in a faster system or a faster connection.

Google, Bing and Yahoo all work that way and Go! Go! Duck uses both Google and Bing for image searches.

Ya mean: "DuckDuckGo," don't ya? But you're right. I think it has much (most) to do with Tom's bandwidth availability.

I think your right Doc, as my IP isn't the greatest and my download time is fairly decent. I'm also using wireless, if that makes any difference. PJ

hmmm - $59/mo for Charter cable internet max 30mbps (usually around 12mbps).

Interesting that DuckDuckGo uses Bing and Google for image searches - and there's evidently no way to "limit" results per page.

What do you guys pay (for internet), and what speeds do you get using dslreports flash tests?
Tom

FiOS here. $30-ish a month. Only 'choke' is LAN thruput. But with 10/100/1000 NIC's and routers it's a moot point.

Thanks Doc. What d/l speeds are you actually getting?

For what we do, nothing faster is required and I won't pay Verizon for some "embellishment" package.

Upload is deceptive, my firewall has an instruction set. :smirk:

Thanks. That's pretty much what I get here. If you do a Google image search, does it seem to load the results page slowly?
