Has anyone else tried the new Google chrome search engine?
I love the set up and ease of use, but it doesn't allow any of the hyper links in me school website to open...I was wondering if its because I am using Front Page and it doesn't play well with others.

I tried it out, it makes the forum readable again for me.

I love the way it looks when I project the screen in class. Plus, I love putting the links across the top of the pages I plan to use in lecture. It's so much easier to use . When It opens, I get a tab for my e-mail, one for the BCF, one for my web site,etc....how easy is that?
The only complaint is that on my website all of my links are blank and say "no plug in available to display this content"
Does anyone know what plugin the links in Front page are? I thought this was Java....

it is Beta only, yet. ANd buggy.

I need to upload reports every day to a variety of websites and after I loaded Google Chrome, could not do that to some of them. When I removed it, I paid for trying it, as some of my prior connections would not connect. And other problems started occuring with startup length and security site problems (I was using Computer Associates/RoadRunner on an XP).

So until they get it fixed, I'll stay with Google Search and google earth.

A bunch of people around here have tried it and immediately uninstalled it. Firefox works for me.

Yep, tried it and went right back to Firefox again.
Might try it again but probably not.

I'm running the "portable version" in a folder so's it doesn't muck up anything on my boxen. I miss a lot of extensions that I use in firefox and I really miss mouse gestures. But it loads significantly faster than FF. So if I need a quick lookup on the run I'll quickly fire it up and do a quick search. All the heavy lifting I still do in FF.

I ran it for about a week, last night my computer started running slow, locking up, wouldn't even access Explorer. I had to take it to school and direct connect to the network to even log on using my domain. I don't know if Google Chrome is to blame, but I uninstalled it once I got booted and now everything seems to be running smoothly again. Maybe its jsut coincidence, but I think I'll stick with IE.
