Wanted to say goodbye to all here. I turned 75 in June, two heart surgeries in the last 10 months, I decided to sell my Bugeye. You guys have been a tremendous help with ever problem the past several years. I did okay at 17-K. Bugeye guy would have been asking much more. The man got a nice car, 1100cc engine, rib-case trans, 3:92, wire wheels and disc brakes, nice paint and interior....also tons of extra parts.
Paul

Sorry to hear - but completely understand - at the same time, I don't believe ownership is required for this forum! Hang around, dispense advice and keep a part of the community.

Farewell. Hope I can still be getting in and out of my Bugeye in 10 years.

Now go out and find yourself a more accommodating open-aired car that gives you the same thrills as the little bugeye. Think late model Porsche 986 (Boxster). Best wishes on your search for that next thrill. GONZO

I was thinking of maybe a 1967 VW Bug

You know, I am not as old as you, but a few years ago I had a BMW2002 for a while.

Don't get me wrong, I still love driving a low sprung sports car, but the 2002 was usually the vehicle of choice when I drove an old car. At first I didn't really even know why myself, then figured out it was so much easier and graceful getting in and out...

Sorry to see you go, Paul. Best of wishes and health and hopefully you will find another fun toy!

Kurt.

Paul,
Thanks for being part of our group and best of health to you! Stop by when you can and let us know what you're up to.
take care, Rut
