Got a ton done Saturday. Refitted the radiator (what a PITA!), all hoses, changed transmission oil, rebuilt and refitted heater box, replaced clutch line.

Sunday, tried to bleed clutch and brakes. Clutch line leaking at master, found that fitting threads were scratched. Got nothing done. Now I need another clutch line.

Once again, two steps forward, one back.

Anyone know where I can get a steel braided flexible clutch line? The rigid steel line was very difficult to deal with, especially into the slave cylinder.
 
Normally there is a hard line that goes to a fitting that mounts, been too long since I did that, but there is atransition to a 10-12" piece of flex line that goes to the slave. It is not rigid line all of the way to the slave cylinder. It needs to move as enine and tranny move on the motor mounts. Richard I bent one of these up 5-6 years ago and with a tubin bender actually worked out well. Only ruined 2 or 3 before I got one correct.
 
I'll be, Bugeye is hard line the whole way.
 
Same with a MK II. That's why the clutch line has that cute coiled section, so that it can flex some.
 
Yeah, the "cute coiled section" is situated right next to the coil and makes it another PITA to get the distributor cap off.
