With that year engine plan on replacing the cam. I used the minor engine rebuild kit from brittek and then added on all new bearings for the engine once I knew what I needed size wise. I think right now its about 400 dollars for the kit which includes a cam. They also offer a major rebuild kit for 760.

OK so we're looking at $4-500 if I do it myself. What should I look expect for a price if I sent it to a shop expecting teardown, rings, oil pump, cam, etc? $1,500, $2,000, $2,500?
