Thanks JP.
Though mine doesn't leak I continue to lose bits and pieces.
Driving home from last weekends MG Car Club show at the Triple XXX root beer place Peter said he heard something like breaking or falling off.
I praised him for noticing, as that's one of the keys to keeping these crates on the road.
When we got home I found the rear hanger for the Screamin' Eagle had broken.
A quick trip across the street to my True Value hardware and the job was done.
I also noticed while at the car show that the front two studs holding my exhaust and intake manifolds on to the head were GONE. Just totally AWOL.
So - across the street again, unfortunately they do not carry metric studs - only SAE. So I had to drive 3 miles to NAPA where I got everything I needed plus a few quarts of oil for an oil change.
I got the studs put back in and checked all those intake and exhaust nuts while in that area - some were loose.
Got the oil and filter changed, using the new Toyota Solyna or whatever it's called filter for $3 instead of the lawn tractor filter for $13.
While at it I lubed up the 6 nipples on the suspension then took it out for a little test.
Funny but it seemed there were lots less fumes inside the car than before!
Anyway, the parts and pieces falling off my car are of the highest British manufacture - unless they are Japanese.
Just goes to show how over engineered these little things are!!
