I have a new gas tank for my Bugeye. Should I seal it like I do my old motorcycle tanks, or is this not necessary? I know that Caswell's makes a good tank sealer.

As in brand new? Just put it in. I've had a liner fall down and drove me nuts.

I wouldn't seal a new one, or an old one in good condition. I've sealed the tank in my Porsche, but it was in pretty grim condition. I could have just derusted and cleaned it, but I had no confidence that it wouldn't corrode again pretty quickly. That's the kind of problem where sealing is of some value. Of course, the downside is that some (or all!) of the coating might come loose, so I'm going to keep an eye on it from now on.
If it's an old tank KBS Coatings makes a 3 step system that I used a few months ago. The results were great, but you will need to watch out that the strainer in the tank does not become coated as well.
The good thing is that you can purchase the motorcycle kit (cheaper) and it is plenty to do a 5 gallon BE tank.

It is a brand new tank, so I'll leave it alone. I had a new VW tank that I put in my dune buggy and it rusted internally in 6 months and clogged up my fuel filter, but those bug parts are notoriously cheap.
