I just saw this on MPB (Mississippi Public Broadcasting) and it was terrific. If you like different foods, folks and stories you'll enjoy it. I can't find it in it's entirety on the net. I found a trailer but it doesn't do it justice (makes it look like "swamp people" but it's not at all). Well shot and well told, a great documentary. The funny thing is, it claims to be about southern food but it's really not, it's more about different cultures from everywhere else that just so happen to be in the south.

Seriously - there is *so much* good food - and so many other things - in the South. I'm hoping that film shows here on Connecticut public tv. The trailer looks great. Love the scene where the woman driving a truck says "Everyone has a story to tell. I challenge William Faulkner to tell me about the South!"

My idea of a Thanksgiving dinner... a chicken fried flat iron steak, corn meal crusted cat fish, hot corn relish, cheesy grits with hot sauce and red-eye gravy, collards and fried okra, hot pepper corn bread, sweet potato pie and chicory coffee with cinammon
