Just a quick hello , just signed up and hope to expand my knowledge of Healeys and maybe make/meet some new freinds . :smile-new::smile:

Welcome, and to ad to your signature quote: if it aint broke, there's still plenty of opportunity to fix it until it is!

Gentlemen

A lesser mortal could take umbrage at these salacious remarks about the reliability of this great British mark, we must not loose sight of the fact that they have been around for 50 years plus and sometimes not very well cared for, no wonder they break down occasionally. Having said that, my 8 year old horn and indicator workings are now giving me great trouble :wall: and are on the verge of packing up despite my fixing the main problem - the rotor. It looks as if I will have to invest in another one. :nopity:

Bob

Welcome Healey Nut, you will find many more of us here !!! And like you and others, I have become a firm believer in the "if it aint broke don't fix it " theory 'cause sure have experienced the opposite trying to fix things that we not actually broke yet !
Regards,
Mike

This month's Healey Marque has a reprinted article from "Motor Sport" about a new 100. After about 2000 miles, "On one occasion when travelling at about 15 m.p.h. it became desirable to stop instantly, but this proved impossible, as the front wheels locked solid and the rear wheels hardly braked at all," After 3000 miles "... a clutch judder began to creep in and developed during the next 2,000 miles until it shook the whole transmission on getting away from a standing start." Even new, these cars weren't always perfect.

Welcome Healey Nut. "If it ain't broken..." That simply means you're not driving this LBC. At the moment Agatha is just humming along but she could get filnicky and who knows. As the caregivers to these little LBC's we have learned patence, patinse, ................AGH Crap, can't spell. Agh, agh, agh, stamping my feet and %&^%#^

Welcome Healey Nut!

When I went to Rendezvous 2013, my BN4 ran without a hitch. My wife had to fly to Connecticut and had lots of problems with her travel. I suggested that for 2014, she come with me in a "reliable British Sports Car".

Still finding my way around on here , I have added my other fave line to my signature .

"Thats not an oil leak........its a special automated British rustproofing system "

Welcome...Love Ottawa and the canals..made many trips there years ago when we were doing our laser refractive eye surgery there in the late eighties early nineties with a Dr. Dave Edmison. Great people and city...It's funny while having a beer or two there the bartenders were surprised I was fron Ohio..they always thought I was Canadian!!!!!Bought my E-type from the area there too!!!
