EAA was saddened to learn of the death of former NASA astronaut and Apollo 8 commander Frank Borman, EAA Lifetime 300174, who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 95

“Watching the live feed from the moon?” Wow that must have been exciting - we watched it from our living roomI have a great memory of my dad and me watching Borman on Apollo 8 orbit the moon in ‘68. I was 17 and watching the live feed from the moon.
Borman was/is a true pioneer.

See? Us little guys are useful for some things. Not for reaching the top shelf, but for cramming into space capsules, race cars, LBCs...To be honest, I was kind of disappointed that my astronaut heroes were physically smallish men…
