Well, day after Thanksgiving
did all my Honey Doo's
Time for some ME time!

I'm going racing, gonna race my
old CZ400 and the Yamaha.

Motocross Grand Prix at Day in the Dirt
down at Pala Raceway near Lake Elsinore.

Taking the Car B Que, burgers, water, me.
My Number is 54X, which either states my age or IQ.

Gonna go and watch em too.
Life is that simple

Got 4 women to answer too and
a Mother-in-Law across the street

Have fun!

Also going racing (OK spectating this time).

Heading to Turkey Bowl at Summit Point here on the east coast.

Nial, how long a drive to the point for you?

Well, it was not because of Rider error,
or Mechanics error (me),
BUT I DNF'd as it was a factory malfunction.

During the race, over many jumps and bumps,
beautiful track, nicely groomed, going as fast as
my old abilities would take me,
came over a jump and the rear wheel
through the chain. I put it back on, threw it again.
Put it back on, threw it again.
Upon quick inspection, I noticed the Chain adjuster
was off a tidbit. then even closer inspection,
the ears that the chain adjuster sat on, the welds were broken.

Going to the races and participating......$300
Gettting a t shirt for the memory......... N/C
Being 54yrs old and acting 17 again.......Priceless

all said and done, I had a great time.
now to fix the bike and do it again!

Remember, it was just a 50 cent part that took
Andy Granitelli out of the 1967 Indy 500 with the Turbine car.
Me it was just a broken weld.

Racing a CZ 400 at age 54 is quite an admirable feat. I used to race a Suzuki 400 and a 501 Maico when I was in the Army. But then I was 24. Again, I am impressed.

I'm sorry, but this:

made me think of this:

LOL. Some of my friends have a very rude name for my pit bike. Can't repeat it here.

Quite the opposite of the bikes I used to ride including Can-Am, Montessa, KDX, XR250, etc.

I used to race off-road enduro bikes and ran the Sandy Lane Enduro , the Beehive Enduro and many others. One time I started on the same number as Ed Hertfelder. he let me rub his bald little head for good luck (I know...it sounds weird. You'd have to come to a South Jersey enduro to understand).

By comparison, my 43cc pit bike is quite a let down. :jester:

Nial,

I sold my CanAms a few years back - nowhere to ride around here anymore.
But,then again,I bought a '78 Triumph Bonneville with the money.

Had a Orange Suzuki 400 Cyclone once,
they were deamed the most dangerous motorcycle ever produced!
When they first came out you
had to hold on to your shorts when you rode it!
