I'm going to go look at some Alpines tomorrow. I hope I will be bringing one home with me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

They are all 67 Mk Vs Embassy Black, Arctic White, and Signal Red

I think that they are great little cars. Under rated.

Post a picture please.

I almost brought the black one home. Unfortunately it has a Mk IV engine. The guy that owns it has a spare Mk V engine though. The other bad part is that is seems to have the non-fully synchronized transmission from a Mk IV. Still negotiations over it and it still may come home. I'll post pictures if it does.

The white car was numbers matching (chassis and engine) but the body was not in great shape. Pretty much an all original car.

Don't let the non synchro tranny stop you. I drove my Dad's MGA and had an early Midget, both non synchro and never had a problem.

Well I ended up buy TWO alpines. The white one and the black one. I drove the white one the three hours home and had the black one trailered. Just because the the white one had brand new tires and it seemed the black one was out of diff oil. Time to get these things up on the hoist so I can drive them tomorrow!

The red car was not an original color and did not have wire wheels like these two. And I don't really need three do I? (Okay maybe I do, but I don't have a place to keep em all)

Very nice and congratulations. Both look nice.I used to have 7 sunbeams but now only 2.Just couldn't keep up with everything all at the same time.
