Wedge Going to look at a 1980 TR7 on Thursday

Yes I did and I got wind of another one and went to look at it on Friday. I got something that needs my attention so I got to go and will post some pics and comments later. Also thanks so much for all the info! I'll surly know what to look for on the next cars that come up.

Thursdays car the green one. Very solid car. Had a poor paint job 10+ years ago. Didn't spend a lot of time trying to get it to run. didn't want to do a free repair but it did seem to run well with spray start. I did do a compression check and it was very good. 130 lb on 1,2,3, #4 was 135ish. #4 spark plug had more carbon on it so I'll assume that's way the slightly higher reading. Odometer is broken at 70k. Trailing arms looked good. The carpets were rotten and stuck to the floors and tore when I tried to pull on them. Some movement on the front wheels. Needs a nice paint job, a full interior, suspension work and figure out what the fuel problem is. All in all an easy car to get to a daily driver condition but the asking price plus the repairs blows it out of possibilities.

The Yellow on was Fridays viewing. Better asking price $1200 however much more work. I actually took pics of this one. Seems like the body was in as good or better shape then the green one. The odometer says 38k. Could be original miles. Needs seats and panels and definitely a new top. Seals in the doors and window scrapers need replaced. A lot of stuff lake that needs replaced. The color was recently changed from the identical green form Thursdays car to Inca yellow. Looked like a cheap Maaco job. Both cars have AC and I like that. Neater worked but having the parts there is a big plus. especially that evaporator. Is there any problems with the e-vaps going bad in these things? I'll post the pics of the under side of the car to get your opinions.
