Thought I'd give this a try:

My '57 TR3 has been a joy...to restore, and now to drive. I'm sure it has given others the same pleasure, and I'm just curious to see if I can dig up previous owners.

It was originally beige with stone (beige) interior and disk wheels. The only clue I have as to where it had been is an old sticker on one of the bumpers that refers to Bethesda Medical Center. And when I pulled the fenders off, there was a good bit of beach sand and a dental instrument inside - the stories our cars could tell!

Does this register with anyone out there?

Mickey,
Wow, an original beige car. Not very many of those were made. The color was discontinued in Nov 1957. If your car was RHD, it would probably be unique.

Interestingly, according to the British Motor Heritage Trust, the car was beige with blue leather interior and white top, no heater. But the interior was definitely stone (dry rotted when I got it), the top was long gone, and there was a heater (may have been dealer installed).

A previous owner tried to paint it BRG, but didn't come out too well. I've always liked the cream color with red interior, so that's what I've got, along with a red Everlast top. Much prettier than the beige to me.

Anyway, it would be interesting to find previous owner(s).

Mickey
