So I've grown tired of smiths water temp and fuel gauges.
ive had horrible luck with leaking bulbs and sending units that just are horrible.
so I'm pulling out the fuel gauge and installing what is a amazing piece of electronics
i went to Dakota digital to look at a digital dash for another car I'm working on and got a tour of there facility's great people and nice bits.we played with this gauge on a test panel love it
we even wheeled it into the sun no problem seeing it in direct sun. It even has a dim feature you can tie to your lights

I'm installing a signal gauge with 4 instruments 2 alarm points
fuel level ,volts, oil pressure water temp ,oil pressure alarm and water temp alarm.
with oil and water temp sending units 300.00
done deal should have it next week.

It would be nice if someone would retro fit servo gauges into the stock housings.
I do not like the digital look, but desire electric senders.

Oh believe me I have looked doesn't appear to exist
even talk with the folks at Dakota digital about it as they do servo stuff
to date there not quite small enough . Yet
but I'm not waiting or holding my breath
I did not want a crowd of stuff in or under the dash really not much room any way.
i drive the sprite almost every day in summer so I want reliability

same with tach that too was and issue at one time
first it was mechanical drive gears made of crap and explode in short order
switch to the electrical RV guts worked great for 1 year and that gave up
switched to electronic Spydia control and works fantastic still uses the original can bezel movement

Maybe I'll go to my local maker space and find a geek willing to tackle the project for me. The dual gauge is the one I really want converted.

We all do I'll be one of the first in line till then 300 dollars and I'm covered
