Going bumperless

I thought I would try a new look for my MKII Sprite. I have always thought it shows off the body lines better. Once I get the bumpers rechromed I'll probably put them back on. What do you guys think?

Bumperless square Spridgets are the way to go. That's a nice looking car there, very clean without the bumpers. Much more sporty looking.

sqbsprite,

What kind of drivers side mirror is that? It looks really nice.

Thanks
Tony

I'm not sure if it is still available. I bought it 22 years ago from Mortorhead. I think it is similar to the original because it macthed holes that were in the door. Looks like the same as Moss # 223-310, but I am not positive.

Steve, looks real good. I know you've probably already told me, but what part of SC are you from.

Oh baby! That girl looks soooo naughty without her nickers on. Ummmmmm... gotta get me some a that...

I like it, save the money on chroming the bumbers. Stick em away for the next guy someday.

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/iagree.gif What Jack said!!! I like the chrome plugs for the holes too!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

That's sweet! I love it!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Look closely Rick! That's the look you will have once you lower that suspension a bit!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

The guy with the early coil springs promises me that he will call when it's time for me to come get them. Just biding my time adding more bright & shiny bits & touching up the paint a little... Can't wait though, it's going to be nice to get that front lowered. I'm going to remove the rubber spacers at the back springs too and get the back down a little bit. Patience, that's all that I need is a little more patience. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Yep, that's a fox!
I went bumperless too; take off those restricting symbols of Naderism, and burn them! Try it, you'll like it.
OK, don't burn them, leave them for the next guy.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I am going to enjoy it this way for a while. So far everybody likes it. I may still get the bumpers chromed before the price gets any higher. I wish I had bought some other parts over the years because prices have really gone up over the last 10 years. I'm going to try to scan and post the before pictures because you guys will appreciate them. Digital cameras were not around in '85 when I finished it.

I am in the Peidmont-Pelzer area.
