Not sure if this belongs in "Racing" or here?

At first, the Renault is just revving and "clearing it's throat"....then you hear a familar tune.
This is all done via a computer and fly-by-wire throttle. My Lab Coordinator actually heard this at Indy last year.

***Edit: I just wanted to add that they got a MUCH better result than James May on "Top Gear", when he attempted to redo their theme song with engine sounds a couple years back.

Does anyone else see the irony of a Renault playing 'God Save the Queen'?

Some might say "It's about bloody time too".

But aren't F1 teams still based in the UK? Most of the engineers in the sport are British......

Is this thread "deja vu all over again"???? or is it just me having flashbacks?? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif

It's timely for me. We've probably all seen the Dodge Avenger commercial lately with "Smoke on the Water", I mentioned the F1 song to my wife after seeing the commercial...and here it is, I don't even have to look for it.

We aim to please. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif
