 Turnberry, Tom Watson! What a show.

So so close.....

And I don't think he choked. Not by a long shot. That approach shot to the 18 was right there, just couldn't check up.

I doubt that you'll ever see a 59 year go against the youngsters like that again. Just too much muscle training and strength in the young mans game today. They don't tire out at all, so the years do get you in the long run.

Live on Golf Drive two blocks from the club house and have never been on a golf course. Well, in 1965 I did drive my TR4 on the cute little blacktop road through the most exclusive course in Dane County. But that is another story!

While typing this I just looked out the window and saw a nice red TR3 drive by.

You've missed very little, Tom. It's the most awful, self-mutilating, humiliating "game" in existence. :jester:

My other vice.

But I'm not nearly as nuts about it as I was 20 years ago when I played 5-7 days a week. I live on a golf course and wave at all my buddies as they go by. Years ago that would have killed me. Now, I just play when I feel like it.

:hammer: It's the most awful, self-mutilating, humiliating "game" in existence I agree but Mr. Watson sure did do us over the hillers proud!

As Mark Twain said, "a beautiful walk in the country, ruined by a little white ball!" :jester:
