...but I think this was one beautiful piece of work.

Must be my lineage...

Great looking car...... What do you think the final bid will be ?

I'm watching out of curiosity. When I started typing the original post, it was $4550. When I made the link a few seconds later, it was $7900!

I have not seen one in our neck of the woods...... A few 2CV's, But nothing with those lines.
Are you going to bid??

Would love to. One of the eternal questions:

"Retirement income... or Traction Avant...?"

Good one....

Gorgeous!

Believe it or not, I saw one at a New Jersey hot rod show with a 350 Chevy V8 in it.

Only in Jersey!

I really love ~2CVs~ and hope to own one some day.

No laughter here, Mickey. A beautiful and innovative car.

Mickey, you are preaching to the choir here as well. I love Citroens, and the Traction Avant is a "must-have" in my book. These do command decent money, so I'd be interested in seeing what his reserve was. This is a nice example......

I would like to get a 2CV also, I hear the prices are reasonable, seen them on ebay... but out here people are asking more then I believe there are worth.
Not as nice looking as the Traction Avante....... but still brings a smile !!

there is actually one of them in my neighborhood. Belongs to a local mechanic. I understand that he has a few more interesting cars hidden away. the one for sale on E-bay looks nicer than his but he uses it on a regular basis

from the ad:

"It was the car of choice for the French Revolution during WWII."

I always thought that the French Revolution was a few hundred years before WWII! Guess that is why I am not an historian :jester:

Ok guys.....I'll sacrifice for the cause and go see it! I know, I know....it's a perilous undertaking but I'll put myself in jeopardy! I am in total agreement on the aesthetics this car. I'll let you know how it is "in person"!

Always thought they were good looking cars!

First three descriptors about sums it up fer me.
