GN--took the B out for a nice drive
BN--radio blew another bloody fuse (hasn't happened in awhile)
GN--I know how to change them
BN--no extra fuses
GN--went to AutoZone and bought some
BN--can't get the radio out of the dash, even using the gizmos
GN--I sing really loud!

Hey! Have you heard me sing before, or was that a nightmare?

I could fix it if I could get the bloody radio out of the dash.

Bwahahahahahahaha. Very funny Stewart.
Want to come and pull a radio?

If you still can’t get it out you could go the other route to the back of the radio. Remove the 4 screws in the trim ring around the shifter and the single screw in the arm rest cubby then its only 2 screws on each side of the radio consul. Pull it out slightly and you should be able to get to the fuse.

When you tried to remove the radio did you remove the trim ring? If not you might want to do that then insert the tools and gently pull on the lip of the radio and see if it come out.

I still can’t believe your blowing fuses unless your singing along with the radio is so bad that the fuse blows to put it’s self out of its misery /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

LMAO Stewart!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

I'm laughing so hard that I can't breathe,..thinking of those poor lil fuses saying "Oh No,..Not Again",..and then ending it all!!

heeheeheeheehee /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Definitely! A DPO replaced my midget's radio with some cassette player. That wasn't the half of it, though! When I would shift to third, the shift gaiter would hit the radio pre-sets! I quickly decided that the radio was redundant and a blanking plate took its place. Weight reduction, after all ... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

>>>jaybird<<< is ignoring Stewart & jerryrosa (wisearses)

I took the face place off the radio, used the little doohickey tool thingies to pop the radio out. Didn't pop.

I am a musicaholic. I cannot do anything without music.

I don't have a Peco exhaust.

YET.

That-a-girl! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Now all we need to talk you into is throwing away the smog gear and the radio. Real sports cars don't need such things. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

What smog gear? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

The radio stays. I'm incapable of driving without one. NON-NEGOTIABLE. Touch my radio and I'll hurt you. (I do only listen to classic rock in it though, no other genre of music seems to work...Doobie Brothers, CCR, Mellencamp, etc.)

Peco exhaust, Weber side draft are on "The List." That way the car will sound good to everyone, inside and out!

Peco exhaust that's fine.

Weber side draft a total waste of money. Only if you intend to race.

Go with the real thing HS4 or HIF4.

and..dump the radio /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif

I agree, get the real thing. SUs are great carbs and appropriate for the car. And you can impress people by telling them you have dual carbs in you car! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I don't have dual carbs, I have a Zenith Stromberg carb in my B.

I'm adding 703MGB to the list with jr and stewart. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif
RADIO STAYS!

And on a good note (NO pun intended) I got the radio out, one of the fuses I bought fits, and wallah, music!

So when I come here for carb & manifold advice, I'm pretty much in trouble, right?
