Installation tool for the rear crank seal on a Chevy 5.0 and 5.7 liter engine. I know how to do the job, I'd like to know who rents this tool? I don't feel like paying $130.00 to buy one for a one time use! Anyone know who rents them? PJ

Before using this tool, check out LS1Tech.com for problems people are having using this tool. There are some good methods for installing the seal without the tool. Hope this might help.

Thanks John! Just found out that that there's a NAPA dealer close by that rebuilds engines. I checked with them and was told the tool was not needed. Just unbolt the retaining plate and install the new seal in it on the bench. Worked great! New seals in and the trucks back on the road, with no leaks! PJ
