I'm trying to figure out how to mount the wire/rod that limits the amount the glove box lid will open. I know how it mounts to the lid but how does it mount to the box? Mine hasn't had one installed for as long as I can remember 20+ years. If any one has a picture of the mounting point I would be very greatfull.

I didn't know there was a limiting strap... but the 77 has the later dash.

Very near the same thing the CB cars used. Is yours riveted to the inside of the box, Paul?

The earlier cars had it as an extended piece of the dash stamping.

My '73 seems to have the exact same setup as Paul shows in his picture. In my case the wire isn't riveted, it sorta loops into the little opening in the door.

It's an original 72.

The bracket mounted in the box is held in with self-tapping screws that also hold in the box-liner. At least that's what's on my '74.
