Doug- I fear you could have a counterfeit decoder ring. I know this since I don't show your payment for the REAL RING. Look on yours to see if it says "Made in China".... you probably bought yours on the street.
 
Onea them common Chinese rip-offs. I hear they induce respiratory issues as well. Flush it down th' terlet!!!
