I was at the Duryea last year.

I wish that I could get the photo thing right once. I wanted to post the photos in the message rather than link it.

Would like to see the duryea. Same track as the Pagoda just longer, about 2.5 mi I think

What is 452.jpg? It reminds me of a Vauxhall Viva HB I once had (boring version, not the Carlos Fandango type shown here), but with an Opel badge; Kadett?

hehehehe.. I like the LeCar....

Ian,

That would be an Opel GT I believed. Was originally a 4 door sedan but the fender mods overlap the doors.

Sweet!

It's an Opel Ascona A (GM called it the 1900 here in the colonies) with what appear to be Steinmetz rally flares.

I've never seen a 4-door here in the states, only read that they were brought here. I've seen lots of 2-door coupes and wagons.

The flares are designed for the 2-door, hence the overlap of the rear passenger door.

The resemblance to the Viva probably comes from GM's habit of sharing styling teams across divisions. The Viva was one of the last British Vauxhalls. Most later models are completely Opels, re-badged and built as right-hand drive by Vauxhall.

pc.

If any are curious, the Lola indy car is an actual Bobby Rahal car with a Buick indy V-6. The car is owned by my exes cousin's husband and is the current record holder.

My girl reminded me that the Opel was a rare import model. So more than likely it is as PC said the Ascona. I have the race program but the car was not listed. was probpbly a late entry. Although I did find a pic of a 1973 1900 4 door in NY that could be very close, but can't see the nose.

Don, nice pic of a the 1900 gt
