I saw this car in 2005 while visiting the private collection of Frank Kleptz of Terre Haute, IN.
Frank recently passed away (r.i.p.) and his son is selling off some of the collection.
Frank had a bit of everything, including one of the remaining road-worthy Chrysler Turbine cars. Frank also traded Deusenburg bits with Jay Leno.
He was a fantastic indivual, very knowledgable, and willing to share that knowledge with anyone showing a true interest.
His "Ghost Car" sold this weekend at R&M Auctions for $308,000 USD.

Speaking of cool - here's a see-through RCA TRK12 television, displayed at the 1939 World's Fair. David Sarnoff, head of RCA, wanted folks to see there was no trickery (film projector) inside. All electronic television.
Top lifts up to 45 degrees; mirror inside the top cover reflects the picture on the vertically mounted cathode ray tube. If the tube were mounted horizontally, the cabinet would be five feet from front to back.
