The Delta Tour is this coming Sunday May 23 starting at 10:30 AM with brunch at the Ryde Hotel on Route 160 in Ryde.

If you are going directly to the hotel from Sacramento take 160 south along the Sacramento River to Ryde. From Stockton/south, take I-5 to Highway 12 to 160 across the river from Rio Vista. Follow 160 east and back across the river to Ryde; from the Bay Area, take Highway 4 out of Concord through Antioch to 160 and up the river to Ryde. From the North Bay take 12 south to Rio Vista, Cross the river to 160 and go left though Isleton to Ryde.

Caravans: John Trifari will lead a caravan from the parking lot of Lee Bardellini’s office in San Ramon. Meeting time is 9 AM. Please let him know if you are going to meet there. To get to Lee’s office, exit on Crow canyon Road and head east (across the freeway if coming from the north). Take your first left and go up to the first large office complex, #2000. We will stop in Isleton and meet others on the tour at approximately 10 AM.

Payment: The hotel requested a deposit from the club and wants us to pay the difference in one payment. Please bring your check book with you and find out how much you owe for your brunch. Please make out a check for that amount (including any taxes) to Golden Gate Austin Healey Club and give the check to either David, Lee or John. Please leave your tip in cash. This will be the only way we’ll be able to keep things straight since we do not have a credit card account.

We have told the Hotel that we are expecting 24 people. If you plan to attend the brunch and if you have not yet notified me, please do it now so I can change the count.

AFTER THE TOUR WE WILL CROSS THE DELTA AND TAKE BACK ROADS TO THE RAILWAY MUSEUM.

A great time was had by all. Here's a pic of one of the ferry crossings.
