Was supposed to have the '78 Datsun B210
back from the paint shop (in time for our 30th-
- Anniversary trip up the Oregon Coast).Didn't
even get started on it.Oh well...we'll take the
Cortina, except that I took it to the Woodland (CA)
meet,& there's a knock in the newly rebuilt engine,
the transmission has problems (but made it there & back).
So the trans is out,the engine's going back to the
machine shop.Hoping to get it together when I get back.
So now we're down to the Wife's Mazda Protege - Bummer!
I was hoping to take something out-of-the-ordinary.
On top of all that....3 Austin 7's showed up at the
Woodland meet (late entries),& took all 3 trophies for
the class.I'm still getting over that.
On top of all that, the TR6's down with front brake
problems.Anyone want to buy a Cortina?
Thanks for hearing me out.

- Doug

Doug- Ina heart beat.
Cept... can't afford the lawyers to bale my but out.

Sorry to hear of the troubles, Doug. That's what these old cars do to us... I've got 3 fun vehicles, and none are working right now.

A deep breath, and hope that all will look better in the morning.

They say things happen in three's, hopefully yours are over for a long time Doug

Got back Sunday night.Made lots of points with the Wife-
- wish I could save them up for later, when I screw up!
We ended up taking the Wife's generic Mazda.Stayed
at the lodge at the Oregon Caves.I didn't tell her we were
staying there.Had a great dinner.
Then we headed up the Oregon Coast.Stayed in the house
at Haceta Head Lighthouse. We got the Lightkeeper's room
which gave us a view of the lighthouse all night.Had a 7-
-course breakfast that was incredible.I also didn't tell
her that we were staying there.
I also found a place in Manzanita,Oregon for $78/night
that was right on the beach - great views!
I didn't notice too many British cars,except a couple
of Healeys, but wasn't able to talk to the owners.
Now I have to face reality,& get to work on the cars!
