Getting Paint off Paint

Oil base paint uses turpentine or mineral spirits as a thinner/solvent. Neither of these should hurt your paint. Just don't let the paint set too long before removing it. If it sets for a couple of months, it gets pretty hard.

It WILL remove any wax though.

I think the mineral spirits will work just fine. Oil base paint actually takes a long time to fully harden.

I agree with Dave on this, but why wait untill the week end when it will be that much harder to shift, especially if it is only a few blobs.

I already got most off it off of the Pacific Green yesterday. Unfortunatly, I can't see clearly enough in the garage light to see if I got all of it in the coves. The color match was very close.

I will have to roll the car out into the daylight to be sure I got all of it, and can't do that till Saturday. I'm at the office during the day.

The big question in my mind is what will your wife buy you for the car to make up for this terrible tragedy? You're playing it up, right?

For various reasons, I'm losing in that catagory. She's even leaving me with the kids(2&5) this weekend for a NYC weekend with the girls.
